Re: Pinacle Studio 23 (Basic) audio panning

Thanks Ned. They haven't much on 23 yet and it's mostly about the video. Even the user guide has illustrations that seem to refer to earlier versions.

Pinacle Studio 23 (Basic) audio panning

On another part of this forum there's discussion about what the IAC is for. I'd just like to say that this forum is worth everything else the IAC offers put together. As I've often said here my 2nd hand Adobe Premiere 6.5 does all I ever want for my own productions but others move on, use different ...

Re: working in 9:16 from DSLR

Lack of notification was because the box had got unticked - my fault as usual - and my colleague had done just what Tim said for her 9:16 project for the sponsors to chooose how to display it, possibly on monitors rotated 90 degrees!

working in 9:16 from DSLR

A colleague has a project ongoing which, because they are mostly single person interviews in and around high-ceilinged spaces, she is filming in portrait (9:16) format. Using Premiere Pro 2019 should she be able to edit them right-way-up or has she to lie down on the job??

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

Thank all for help. I usually leave all the tech stuff to my helper but had a go at Device Manager today and found that while it lists the blu ray device it calls it a CD-Rom or something. More importantly when I went through to problems and put in 'Blu Ray' nothing comes up at all! It only offers '...

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

Sorry for delay getting back. A replacement same model exhibits the same inablity to recognise a blu ray disc apparently thinking (sorry) it's a blank CD. As before it sees a DVD as it is and plays it OK. Could the graphics card in the computer be at fault? Not up to bluray specs? Or anything else? ...

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

I'll do that Tim.
There's 62 minutes of films on it. If it hasn't been finalised would there be 13 GB left free? But in that case it wouldn't play on computer or player would it, Tom?

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

For some reason, probably because I didn't click submit, my last post hasn't apppeared. It said that the Pioneer deck installed on our domestic PC, using Windows 7 SP1, plays a Bluray disc but the computer shows the disc as having a capacity of 13.2 GB of which 13.2 GB is free which seems to me to s...

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

"If the disc is a BluRay, a DVD reader should not be able to read it!" It's a mystery. As far as I remember it 'saw' the files on the disc, it wouldn't copy them, but I dragged them to the folder on my D (video) drive and Nero put them onto a DVD, along with others, which plays perfectly. ...

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

Explanation Found. The computer is using Windows XP which doesn't cope with Bluray. Our* fault for not reading specs properly, which say Win 7 & 8. * = usually very helpful neighbour. I said "hadn't you better make sure computer is up to it?" XP runs my old progammes adequately. Sorry ...

Re: BluRay reader/writer.

Thanks, Tim, but do your answers correlate with my brief statement "DVDs OK"? I used it to copy files from three or four DVDs to computer which did recognise it when installed. As for 3, are there different formats for home made Blurays? These discs play on two different Sony players to ou...
