Re: Magix movie editor

Interested in Magix MEP 16+? At least in the US, Magix is running a short time promotion for - as I understand - existing owners of the system at a favourable upgrade price of usd 60. http://www.magix.com/us/online-marketing/upgrade-movie-edit-pro-16-plus/ Maybe this offer is sort of acknowledgement...

Re: FAREWELL TO A FRIEND

Hi Leif, . . . Maybe there can be a section this forum for people to link their movies to, and others could review their work. Having said that, I'd be a bit nervous about putting my movies online here for others to rip to pieces! Hi to Billy Good suggestion. I would say: just let's do it. Based on...

Re: FAREWELL TO A FRIEND

Hi Roy. Thankyou for your kind words. I think, I made some wrong assumptions, when we started Nordfilm.net 2½ years ago. Compared to UK or Denmartk, has Norway and Sweden very few videoclubs, So there must be many lone filmmakers. So the basic idea was to establish sort of virtual online video club,...
. . . we still have one magazine alive here in the USA, Videomaker, although it seems to angle increasingly towards the "wannabe" professional. . . .
And the good message about "Videomaker" is, that they now offer subscriptions to their e-versio...

Re: How do you print MiniDV cassette labels?

I have frequently used ordinary DYMO labelmakers, If you use condensed typing you may print 2 lines of text along the paperstrip, and it is printed with very sharp edges, so it is quite readable even if the resulting letters are pretty small. I have used one of the models with a small lcd-screen, si...

Re: Magix movie editor

As I am using a high definition camcorder I assume that I should use 1280 x 720 16:9. If I wish to work in standard definition I should reset to 720 x 576. Is this correct? Arthur Tes, this is the correct way. For HD you could also choose 1920 x 1080, but this will roughly doubble the need for spac...

Re: Magix movie editor

When you enter Magix Movie Edit (all versions) your first step should be to make sure, that all files goes to the right project folder. To do this press "Y", which opens up some pages for system information. The first page has information on the folders for storing the project data. When y...

Re: Magix movie editor

. . if I can't turn a whole shaky shot of a sign into a freeze frame which can be lengthened or shortened as required with Magix. Up to now I can create a still frame ok but haven't managed to lengthen the shot so that the sign is readable. This is simply done with Adobe. Roy. It is done like this:...

Re: What are the DISADVANTAGES of being in a club?

Hey There's something rotten in the State og Denmark too .... In the first club I was member of, the board tried to expell me 2 times, because I critizised the low level of ambitions in the club activities. Fortunately it was turned down at the annual genaral meeting both times. In my present club o...

Re: Canon's new HV40

I suppose the HV40 keeps the good manual options of the previous HV20/30. Then I think you get top quality picture & audio. You can record in HDV and still have the choice between editing in DV, which is not so demanding for pc power, or in HDV with best possible quality. I have myself investiga...
