to clarify what Col said... a 4AH battery will last only 1/3 of the time of a 12 AH battery when powering the same item. You will just have to charge it more often.

My Humax is a Terrestrial model and not HD, so earlier comments are probably not valid. Are you trying to record direct from the HD tuner onto an external hard drive?
