User instructions wanted.
Has anyone a copy of the User Instructions for a B&H TQ2 "Specialist" Model 1655 16 mm Projector that they can scan to .pdf or.jpg for me, or a hard copy they are prepared to sell me?

Re: Computer Monitor
I use this Test Utility to judge the set-up of my monitor... some may find it useful, others not.... but it's FREE.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the additional input which is also most helpful. Apologies for the tardiness in acknowledging; have just returned home after second knee replacement.
Again, thanks

Re: Help with Panasonic SD9
Thank you VERY much. That is the kind of detailed information that is extremely helpful... not only Class, but Brand, Type, and Capacity!
I take the point about the specific supplier; looking around for a good price AND a reliable supplier is part of the exercise.
Thanks again.

Help with Panasonic SD9
I have acquired a Panasonic SD9 camera, but am puzzled by the question of what card to use in it. I understand the difference between SD and SDHC, but am confused by the Panasonic listing of compatible cards. It would appear that certain "classes" or "types"! of card may not be s...

Re: 8MM CINE FILM COPYING TO VIDEO
Of course Granfer's 'frame-by-frame' technique sounds good, but the timeline is still going to have to interpolate frames when you vary its speed such that you change 16 or 18 fps to 25 fps, whichever way you look at it. Not my idea, Tom! I just use it as do countless others, both with their home b...

Re: 8MM CINE FILM COPYING TO VIDEO
First, Lee, there is no way you can "change the Camera speed" in order to accommodate the true film speed of 18 fps.. However..... 1. you CAN alter the speed of your Eumig from a set 18 fps to 16.6666 fps by using a thyristor speed controller in the motor circuit. If you then capture the r...

Re: 8mm CINE FILM CLEANING & LUBRICATING
Interestingly, this Forum appears to consist mainly of Film and Video Makers (not surprisingly!) with very few Film Collectors or Technical aficionados The subject of film cleaning has been discussed many times, at length, on the following forums, with the overall consensus being towards Filmguard a...

Re: DVD quality
Thank you. As I said...... as 3 short planks!! So I did what I have always told my ex-customers to do...."read the Manual". Studio actually suggests "up to 60 mins on a normal DVD, or 120 mins on a dual layer DVD, disc". With that in mind, results are now acceptable (bearing in m...

DVD quality
---- as three short planks, that's me! And a dyed in the wool film man, although I have used a Hi8 camcorder for personal use for some years, with what I would describe as acceptable results using tape (camera originals and SVHS) as Storage media, and REAL (analogue) TV as the viewing platform. I hav...

Re: Mini DV tape - the era's end?
My usual answer (cynical though it may be) is that the life of any medium on which a Wedding Video is supplied to the "happy couple" is totally unimportant.... it's certain to be longer than the marriage lasts. My own marriage confirms this... our Standard 8 Kodachrome is standing up well ...

I suggest that the member tries joining this Forum, where she will find lots of people both using Elmo Zenons and many proficient in repair or recommendation for servicing. The Forum is owned and run by probably the most experienced amateur Elmo serviceman in the UK. http://www.mrelmo.co.uk/smallfor...

Re: 3D camcorders
My contact with 3D commenced with the Telekinema at the Festival of Britain exhibition in 1951 and continued through the 3D revolution of the 1950s. The brief resurgence in the 1960s was lost to me as by then I was married and unable to afford cinema visits. I can assure those that did not themselve...

Re: 3D camcorders
"worlds first 3-D camcorder"... I don't think so!!!! Toshiba made one many years ago, and this isn't a 3D camcorder anyway. It's a normal camcorder sold with an add on "3D" LENS ATTACHMENT producing non compatible results in its own specific format. Bolex did this many, many year...
