Re: Angel of Saigon - Sizzle Reel

Thanks Ned!

Now you know why it has taken so long to research her! :-) Liz Thomas wrote a book about her experiences in Vietnam called 'Dust of Life'.

Angel of Saigon - Sizzle Reel

Evening all! Haven't been around for a while, and there are many reasons why... but this is one of them! As some of you know, i've been researching the life of a woman called Liz Thomas for a few years now, in the hope of making a feature film about her. Well, i have a script now, written by a talen...

Re: BIAFF 2016 - WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR RESULTS?

As for the kids, its great to work with them. As they get older I hope to move them into more serious drama, but I want to try to avoid the "message" films about bullying, drugs and the dangers of the internet or other "worthy" subjects. Too many kids films tread those routes. I...

Re: Exit 6 Film Festival

I know it can be tough getting the 'pass'. ;-) Been there many times myself! No problem on not making the launch Tim, it was a very exciting night to be honest. Everyone had a great time! Plenty of great films on show, and most importantly, the social aspect was brilliant! It all felt very inspiring...

Re: BIAFF 2016 - WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR RESULTS?

Well Done Howard!

I didn't enter anything this year, so i can relax! Although, having been one of the judges this year, i'm always interested to hear what people think of the judges comments.

Re: Article on IAC

My Blu-Ray player has a USB Slot in the front, as well as being WiFi enabled so i can stream media from my Network to it. I quite often show my films on my lovely 55 inch LCD TV via a USB stick. :)

(ditto John) :)

Re: Music videos

Perhaps there should be a top award for each genre rather than "best of show". Perhaps there should, Ned. But then we get the counter argument that films which don't neatly fit into pigeonholes can't be fairly judged. If you gave the submitter the genres to choose from on the entry form, ...

Re: Article on IAC

Hi Michael. I'm only really talking from an alternative 'option' point of view. I'm a huge Hard Media fan (you should see my Blu-Ray collection!) and i'm quite adverse to streaming and buying online content... but, when it comes to sharing my own movies with others... online/streaming is by far the ...

Re: Article on IAC

I liked your article, and don't see what people would be offended by. Getting on to the young audience debate, this is something i've tried to do for a very long time! I'm sure if you browse these forums you'll see comments of mine championing the need for newer blood, and newer directions. I've bee...

Re: Pay Per View

Well... i've done it. 'Selfie' is now online via a Pay Per View site. Will see how it goes and update this forum after a month or so. Since i posted it, i had 2 rentals pretty much straight away, but i did shout about it all over Facebook and Twitter! Time will tell if it's something worth doing or ...
