Re: Which films just missed BIAFF?

I am please to see that I have 'been mentioned in despatches' by Willy. A little correction, we currently live in Villeurbanne. We are looking forward to moving back 'home'. According to Wiki there are dozens of Villeneuve's in France! Only one Villeurbanne Ville-urbana from Roman times and they sti...

Re: NEW LOOK IAC WEBSITE

Can I add my compliment for the new look site. I especially like the banner 'The world of non-commercial film and A-V making'. Like all websites, it is OK to have one which catches the eye, but the most important aspect is to keep it fresh and up to date! In this we are lucky, thank to the work of J...

Re: Which films just missed BIAFF?

Mine did not make being a contender in October! Loads and loads of filming carried out, but I thought it just lacked an essential ingredient and I would have finished it, being totally dissatisfied. It was not what I intended, so I ducked out then. Then at the end of the year other big project came ...

Re: SULUTION!!!! GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER TIME OUT

If anyone who has followed this post. I found a solution to this just at the end of December. I was suprised that no solution was evident from the makers of the graphics card, yet I found countless posts on various forums describing exactly the same issue. The screen froze and an error message appea...

Re: volume adjustment in Adobe premiere pro 2

Glad I can be of help. I don't think of myself as an real expert but I keep picking up the odd way round things as I keep progressing. The Pq! I think it was a Dave Watterson invention. I presently live in France and having bought a new computer here, I was complaining about the keyboard because the...

Re: volume adjustment in Adobe premiere pro 2

If this is of any help to you. Firstly, highlight the audio track on the timeline. Then to the left at the start of the track there is the 'video/audio' box say, 1,2,3. In the corresponding box, a 'add/remove Keyframe' point is present. It is quite small and looks like a square at 45 degrees. Click ...

Re: PC's - keeping it stable and up to date.

I wish I was so methodical! I know I am not. The idea of having a unique computer for one job and it works would be a 'paradis'. My days began with a pencil and paper and then some bright spark thought he could save the world with AutoCad. 'Quelle horreur' we all jumped like lemmings and hated it. E...

Re: I love my casablanca!

Hello Willy! I have said before, your English is excellent. There is a good old English expression: 'If it ain’t broke, don't fix it'. I have a similar problem with my SD camera, where horizontal lines appear at certain times, then disappear. I am no expert and have done all the tricks I have been t...

Re: A guide to a PC's specifcation

This makes excellent reading and in so much detail! Oh! how I wish I was so up to speed. Although those of us who are on the limit of our knowlege, we sometimes feel we are in the Lap of the Gods. I wonder whether Col Lamb picked up my post some months ago about my Graphics Card driver. GRAPHICS CAR...

Re: British Film Council Archive Movies

Sorry Ned, I am desserting the status. This Ex-Pat is going back! OUR APARTMENT IS NOW SOLD. People ask? Are we really going back to a country of incessant rain, small brick houses, pots of tea, driving on the left, overcooked cabbage, sliced bread, brown sauce, mushy peas, snake and kidney pud, war...

Re: YOUTUBE REVISITED

The link back to the IAC site to the music copyright page makes interesting reading! Especially if you note the mention of the popular song 'Happy Birthday' (does the mere mention of the phrase cost five bob?). What does make rather interesting and suprising reading if you have the time to delve is ...
