Zoom Recorders

Greetings... any of you peeps here had experience of the ZOOM digital recorders?.... especially the H4 http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h4/ I'm using a minidisc setup at the present (they are so cheap now on ebay!) with good results but only in mono... I seem to be doing more and more live ban...

In my humble opinion FVM is missing out...... there is a huge market for a quality Film & Video Makers Magazine just like our very own IAC edition... a little tweaking here and there to appeal to non IAC members, and a place found on the shelves of WH Smith and the like, should see our magazine ...

Hmmmmm.. some interesting points raised here..... The Joe public "Point and Shoot" camera with ease of solid state recording media is something that we need to keep a close eye on...!! the quality will most definately surpass DV tape soon.... Aunty beeb will be tapeless by 2012 we must exp...

This is sad news indeed Willy..... but all is not lost ... At Newcastle ACA we rent a good room from a local community association and it serves us well... We must however charge an annual subscription to the clubs membership... but this is a small price to pay for the pursuit of our hobby... single...

Well ere we are in London...... Visited Canary Wharf yestrday with a my old 'tourist' video camera..... Got about 15 mins of footage for my project film .... Managing to rest the camera on walls etc ..... Saw some excellent still photographic opportunities so pulls out the nikon d40x and was swooped...

Without a doubt the best use of zoom just had to be of Alan Whicker standing on a beach and the zoom just kept on going and going forever....until Alan was a mere speck on the beach...... awesome... I use to try and contemplate what size lens you would need for that !!!!!! it wasn't until many years...
