Unlocking Serif Movie Plus

If owners of Serif Movie Plus have not already unlocked features and procedures is there any way to do it now that Serif doesn't support it any more?

Re: Projectors & Pacemakers

Yesterday, a fortnight after the man at Epson promised to get back to me, he did! Their recommendation is that the person with the pacemaker should keep 20cm. away and not be between the projector and any Wi-fi device that is working with it. So perhaps one should not operate it, I said. That's righ...

Before using the device, make sure theree is no medical equipment in the vicinity. Electromagnetic interference may cause automatically controll...

Projectors & Pacemakers

We are delighted with our new Epson EH-TW6700 projector but I have just spent 23 minutes on the phone to Epson, most of the time listening to promotions of printers, trying to find out what "vicinity" means in a warning about medical equipment, including pacemakers. The guy has just said &...

Nero DVD failing

Usually reliable, my old Nero 4 is failing to make a DVD with 4 short films totalling about half the maximum full quality size because "transcoding of videos failed".
Any pointers to working out why, please?

DIY Camera support

Look at Pendle's webpage - http://www.pendlemoviemakers.com/ - and click on button at bottom of home page and more further in to see my lowtech camera support known to friends as "Dolly Walker".

Re: Premiere 6.5 problems and HD,

SOLVED! But some mystery remains. More checking of settings revealed that the compressor on the export settings had changed themselves (I never touch things like this) from Microsoft avi Pal to Cinepak something and the Microsoft PAL wasn't listed as an option though several others were. Uninstalled...

Re: Premiere 6.5 problems and HD,

Thank you once again, Tom. Sorry for delay in responding - I was up very early for me and sent that off before going for hospital appt. (OK so far) I have done as you say and settings are as you said at all stages on a 45 second project done late last year but results the same = OK up to the export ...

Re: Premiere 6.5 problems and HD,

Point taken, Michael, but the Hi8 tapes exist and I was wondering if there was a better way of getting them onto digital. I've got to persevere with my way. But as people are still following this can I put up a new problem similar to the original? on a WS project if I 'export timeline>movie' when ed...

Re: Premiere 6.5 problems and HD,

"Much better (I'd have thought) to timeline your analogue tapes" Yes, Tom, I see that but how to get them on timeline except via some kind of digital recorder first?

Re: Premiere 6.5 problems and HD,

Though I understood that digital didn't suffer from drop-out like analogue because of some techie stuff I don't understand and certainly found it trouble-free. I keep my camera tapes in case I, or someone else in the future, wants to re-edit from them as they all have archive value. Perhaps this sho...

Re: replacement for Mitshubishi HC4000

Sorry not to have responded, Tom, am waiting for someone to find a copy to get the model number, but thanks for the tip. One of the problems with these domestic-type projectors is the limited zoom as they seem to be made for fixing to ceilings a standard distance from a screen, whereas with public s...
