Her great friend for many, many years - Gerald Mee - spoke to her on the phone in the morning. She passed away in the afternoon. She was able to stay in her own home, with the support of her sister, until the end. She retained her mental capacities too. Those things would be very important to her. S...

Re: You Tube & copyright music

As John says the system is automatic. It usually informs the registered copyright holder and leaves the decision on how to respond to that organisation. Some don't care, others are very strict and demand that the soundtrack be removed ... and so on. Some leave standing instructions for YouTube other...

Re: Creative Soundscape Videos

OK, I tweaked your post, John. The trouble is changing YouTube formats. a) go to the YouTube video and play it. b) While it plays copy the full URL such as "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEnwCBLR8yc&feature=youtu.be" c) on the forum post click the "youtube2" button at the top of the post which dro...

Re: BIAFF 2018

Re: Better Film Sound

I hope that someone like John Roberts or Alan Colegrave will comment, since they have far more knowledge of sound technicalities than I do.

My only contribution is that we must depend on human ears ... our own, or if we know we have hearing deficiences, the ears of trusted friends.
