Thanks Fraught, I've always said - I've got more chance of getting this work noticed than winning the national lottery! It's not what you know, its who sees what you've done! Thanks for the post. Hey guys! A couple of new additions to the channel - (hence why I've been out of contact for a week) Bre...

Thanks Ian. It's a shame about the project really. As you will know after hearing the commentary, the original film was finished in 2005 and was all presented nicely on a DVD. Then the guy who offered to do all our props for nothing began demanding money from us. It was only fifty pounds but I thoug...

Hi Ian, I used a Panasonic GS400nv camera (3CCD) - these have come down in price now because they have a newer model now. This new model isn't as good in my opinion - it has a smaller viewfinder and the controls are 'fiddly' to operate. Premiere 6.5 was my editing program. I could stand on my head a...

I'm a short, pale-blue, hairy-bottomed Scotsman.

They seem to be mostly very nice young ladies with masters degrees in film studies.
Ohh, don't like the sound of that Ray. Sounds like they're too clever for my home made film!

Seriously though. I'll give them a try and report back!

Ah Typical - 14th of December

Then again Ray, according to this site they are talking about shorts. I doubt they would have considered looking at a full length feature film.

Cheers anyway though, there may be something similar out there for us,
Pete

Mpeg DVD AKA Flask Mpeg is another program that will do this. It's freeware and easy to find on the net. It allows you to choose your input and output files with a good quality result.

Cheers

Hi Ray, Wow, that would be excellent. I never knew about this. I will contact them this week - once you have a film certified I believe it is then classed as an official film. I also heard that is cost approx. 15 pounds per minute and you have to send all footage including documentaries and everythi...

FILM THURSO - I've got another copy under a leg of my coffee table to keep it level! Really concerned about it ending up on the internet though, would like to keep 'the ending' a surprise just in case we do have a little luck with a distribution offer from some place. Being a fellow film-maker yours...

Hey Ian - That was quick! I said you'd get it in the morning but had a strong feeling that you wouldn't see any sign of it until well into next week - I take everything back that I've ever said about the post! Yeah, 5.1 would have been nice but if it wasn't for the sound effects and the music put on...
