AGM

Hi Dave & Stephen....don't forget we are a charity and as such our AGM is a statutory requirement. The last two I have been to were very simple affairs and over quickly. At least at Milton Keynes, we have the Techie guys there to keep us informed/entertained or maybe even amused.

Acronis Backing up

Mike the violins are singing loud and clear.

Yes the problem is the size of your hard drive, you could partition the 300gb into say 80gb main 'c' drive and the remainder as a video drive that would resolve the problem of time re the backing up routine

Hi Mike my 'c' drive is 28gb and it takes 6 minutes. I have set the backup on normal compression do you have yours perhaps on 'High' Restoring sometimes takes a few minutes longer. I am using Windows xp 64bit edition and ntfs format for hard drives. You can do an incremental backup but I have never ...

losing data from your hard drive

A colleague of mine was messing about with Linux and installing it on a dual boot machine which already had Windows 98 (SE) and windows xp on it. He did not realise that you cannot suddenly install a new programme on a boot disk for a dual boot system. Enter Acronis....because after lots of nagging ...
