Re: 4K images and adobe premiere pro
Hi Roy, So pleased you have managed to put some 4K clips into Premiere CS6 and have experiment with some editing. I agree that I couldn't see a great deal of difference between 4K and HD in my limited tries. (Age most likely!) However, what I did find, was that I could crop clips to a greater extent...

Re: 4K images and adobe premiere pro
Hi Roy, I use Premiere CS6 and several months ago I got a Sony X3000 camera and it's capable of recording in several formats including 4K. I always understood that CS6 wasn't able to handle 4K so I recorded in HD. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I thought I would give 4K a try. It worked ...

Re: Panasonic Camcorder HC-X920 problem
Hi Roy,
I’ve looked at my camera. Went to the Menu and “Set up” then to DATE/TIME. There are two settings here D/T and below “OFF”. I selected the “DT” option and all displays fine. Hope this helps.
Pete.

Re: Adobe premiere pro CS6 rubber bands
I know exactly what you mean Roy and I'm only 84 . . . I don't know of any way to change the colour of that volume adjusting line, but a better and more precise way is to RIGHT CLICK on the clip and a dropdown list will appear. Look down this list and you will come to AUDIO GAIN. Click on this and a...

Re: hood for LCD screen
Hi Peter. Glad you was able to view the picture. Now I will have a go with a short bit of video. (Got to keep the mind occupied!) I have two things to admit. [1] I am the most non-tech person possible and [2] I haven’t really followed the thread - just scanned through occasionally. Mainly due to ite...

Re: hood for LCD screen
Hi Peter, No one seems to have answered your query about posting a photograph here. So I have tried this experiment. Took photo, reduced size, put it into Google Drive. Copied the link that is here and hopefully, when you click this link you will see the shot. Or copy/paste the link into your browse...

Re: Mic into PC for V/O
Thanks Tim and John for your very comprehensive replies. I had just written my reply to Tim when I found your comments John so my reply is to you both with many thanks. Tim writes: I'm not sure what you mean by "which mic input do I use?" You said your motherboard (with sound card) has a m...

Mic into PC for V/O
After all my years, I’ve never had the need for recording audio through a mic connected to a PC. That need has now arisen. I’ve installed a screen capture programme to send a friend video tutorials on certain progs. Naturally the prog. mentioned recording the V/O through a mic on the PC. This is whe...

Re: Viewing video UDF files
Thanks Tim,
I have 'imgburn' on my machine so will follow this up.
His disc with the jpegs I will take back to him and follow that up. You must forgive him - he's only 93 (and I'm catching up fast).

Viewing video UDF files
A friend has passed to me a DVD of some Christmas video from 2012. He said he couldn’t play it at all. Tried it here at home with several players to no avail. Checked the disc and see that it’s a UDF file. Did a quick check online and see that one needs to convert it. I have the Freemake video conve...

You Tube & copyright music
As we know, You Tube occasionally picks up on the use of copyright music used in our videos. I have been flagged up for the use of a small part of a band in a street procession. A friend of mine recently went to a summer garden party where a big band was playing. He made a very good video using his ...

Thanks a LOT John. I know I will enjoy watching and learning from your videos. Sadly our local club was closed a couple of years ago so an invitation can't be extended to visit.
Thanks again.
Pete.
