Re: CONNECTING CABLE

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your reply also. I'll pass on the information you give. Again much appreciated.

It's for Clive,( :? ) you might remember him - he's got a new camera which seems to be causing him problems.

CONNECTING CABLE

Lo All, A quick response would be much appreciated:- Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a connecting cable with a firewire plug at one end and either a USB plug or an HDMI plug at the other? Or are they incompatible? This info. is needed for a friend who thinks he might have been misled @ M...

Re: Club Insurance

Hello Peter, How strange re the quote you got from Imaging Insurance being 40% above your present arrangement. If this wasn't an open forum I'd tell you how much I pay per month. Still could do by e-mail, then we could compare. Mind you, it's due for me in another months time so I'm now wondering if...

Re: Club Insurance

'Lo Peter, The response you received seems very odd to me. Seems like it was picked up by an "apprentice"!!! Ask 'em specifically about video equipment insurance including public liability - and when filming etc. All my stuff etc. is with them and has been for a number of years. Low premiu...

Re: Club Insurance

'Lo Peter, Re insurance: I'm not sure if £2m is OK but that seems to be the ballpark figure in comparison and e.g. with car insurance legal protection et al. Might I suggest that you try <Info@imaginginsurance.co.uk> 'phone 01277 243016. I deal with this Company and have done for several years. I'm ...

Re: FUTURE - regions and festivals

Michael: In response: If you re read my posting you will see that I stated "Without loosing any of the ART OF FILM MAKING "! oddly I suppose I agree with the way you've put it...but...individuals upgrading their gear is only one point. What I am referring to is that the IAC needs to do so ...

Re: FUTURE - regions and festivals

I apologise, I have just belatedly realised that I spelt Alice Dunckley's name incorrectly.

Re: FUTURE - regions and festivals

'Lo I A C--ers: Reference to Dave's reply to Brian Saberton. First I would convey my sympathies with regard to the death of Alice Dunkerly. Regarding Brian's Posting: chatting, talking and socialising is nice, no doubt essential...it's called "communicating" I believe! Let us then hope tha...

Re: FUTURE - regions and festivals

Hi Folks, I wasn't going to join / contribute to this "thread" but having overcome, (maybe temporarily), from - the IAC introduced and enforced apathy I will commence by quoting a paragraph from Tim Stannard's Post:- It seems very unfair to criticise the work of hard working, well intentio...

Re: PRINTER INKS

Yoh Again, Re: Epson Printers at least:- Just thought I'd better add this - In using Compatible Inks If the printer "rejects" them in any way simply switch it off, leave for 30 seconds, switch it on again and provided the cartridges have bee installed correctly this should / will work. It'...

Re: PRINTER INKS

Hi John,

Yeah I've used "compatibles" for quite a long time too...but never having read unprotected papers under water or even labelled
bottles.-.-.-. - I never knew that! But the Epson price re "genuine-s" is positively an affront!

PRINTER INKS

 Hello there! I thought that I would mention this although some might already know. Having bought a new Epson Printer (also prints DVDs / CDs) to replace my previous Epson Printer, I then discovered that a pack of 6 inks for the new Printer are gleefully offered - by Epsom - at the price of £8...

Re: BLU RAY RECORDER - PLAYER

Hello Tim, "What do I need this for"? ---- I don't do my editing on my PC - I use an up to date Casablanca, (SE6000 Bogart V8.1)a dedicated machine which I find works, renders and burns DVDs - Blu Ray at about 20 times faster than the usual PC does based on rendering of a project of 1 hour...
