as an aid to teaching Arithmetic ?
Here is my all dancing version of an Abacus.
The Brahms piano score was scanned from an old book of his music
using the App Playscore 2.

Re: BIAFF 2024 - yes or no?
I also know that Albert is also one of the monuments in the IAC. That's way over the top, Willy. Many, many years ago I won a few IAC awards but It's old history. My long experience was/is in a very, very small area of animation. No cartoons, no arms and no legs ! But attempting to bring inanimate ...

Re: BIAFF 2024 - yes or no?
Have just watched, "Hubertus". Although the subject matter is not for me, I admire the professional making of this film. The English commentary had an engaging delivery which added to the impact. The zoom shot at 11 minutes in seemed unnecessary. Static would have been more telling I think...

Re: BIAFF 2024 - yes or no?
Anyone had a judge remark on their film, "Too short, should have been made longer," ?

Zoom viewing count
Forgive my ignorance but I believe one can check a Zoom viewing count.
Are the numbers viewed for each BIAFF film, given anywhere either
on the night or later?

Re: BIAFF 2024 - yes or no?
I am sure that I must be the first film maker to have had films rated all the way from bottom to top over the years. Correct me if I can be proved wrong someone. Sorry to disagree Michael, but I also join that exclusive band of the, 'Top to the Bottomers. The argument about stars gets me. The ONLY ...

Re: BIAFF 2024 - yes or no?
A BIAFF judge recently told me that they must judge a film on a first viewing only. I recall many great professional films of the past that had a poor response from critics at the time of first presentation, but in later years were deemed to be great classics after years of renewed viewing by the Wo...

Re: Getting an audience
Hurrah! - not to mention the one which played a supporting role in commercial cinemas ! There was some controversy about 'that' 2 1/2 minute film, as you know. But imagine you have just made the very first film of its type (pun intended) whilst struggling to buy your first house. After winning a Te...

Getting an audience
I have found a way of increasing my viewing figures, even for a single star won on BIAFF. The local village and surrounding villages are on Facebook. Even some streets have a Facebook page. My Halloween 40 second video joke gained a single star, so chances of any audience at all in any competition w...

Re: A bit of Halloween type
Having been fortunate over the years in be awarded many top awards and with my sense of fun I thought it time to try and get a lowly single star . So I entered this 40 seconds of nonsense, "Skullduggery" made for Halloween and which took but a few hours to cobble together....... I got my s...

Re: A bit of Halloween type
We all, In a marriage, one partner will be left alone. More so if they have no
children or relations.
Very sorry to hear about your wife Geof. My wife, Joan, died 5 years ago. Dementia.
It's hard at times on my own, but I try to keep 'animated'
