Re: Peculiar Camera Mounts
Here's an improvised tripod I made on a recent wild camping trip...... https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoAozYX-65zkgoR7ye3ZqThRImaYXw?e=sAtbot Clicking the above hyperlink will reveal the picture, but the 'insert picture' feature below (small mountain icon described in Jameela's post) doesn't seem to work. http...

Re: COVID-19
Cheadle & Gatley Film Makers, and Altrincham Movie Makers have both suspended meetings until further notice. Swan Movie Makers have suspended meetings until September. Burnley Film Festival, which includes an inter-club competition, was to have been held today (Sunday) but has been postponed.

Re: IAC MUSIC LICENCE
There's a search function at https://www.youtube.com/music_policies?nv=1 on YouTube where you can search for the music policy (allow, place adverts, mute, take down, etc) that will be applied to anything you upload containing a particular piece of music.

Re: Da Vinci Resolve 15 & possibly 16
Several members of Altrincham Moviemakers have been using Da Vinci Resolve for a while now, and seem delighted with it. It's a full-featured package comparable to Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, and a step up from cheaper packages like Premiere Elements, iMovie, and the products from Corel, Pi...

Thanks Tim. Unfortunately that seems to rule out entries from members of former NW Region clubs

Mermaid & mini Mermaid
I see these competitions are included at the IAC AGM, but what are they? I'd like to encourage members of my clubs to support them, but I can't find the current rules/entry requirements or the closing dates. There is stuff about previous competitions on the website, but nothing current. Can anyone h...

Val Ellis tribute film
Frank Parker and David Andrew of Cheadle and Gatley Film Makers have produced a lovely film tribute to Val Ellis, who contributed greatly to the IAC and passed away last year. The film contains many clips from Val's very diverse portfolio, as well as footage of Val herself. You can watch it here htt...

Re: Adobe premiere pro CS6 rubber bands
You can change levels during playback using the Audio Mixer panel. I don't think you can change the appearance of the rubber band though.

Re: Converting 30 FPS to 25
Handbrake https://handbrake.fr/ is a free transcoding tool which will convert frame rates, and most other media properties. I've used it for converting 30fps video from my phone to 25fps. The interface is a bit techy, but the documentation is good.
