Sony NX3 query

I have upgraded from my Sony Z5 that has served me so well and have invested in the Sony HXR-NX3. (So much that is new to learn).
When using the Z5, when starting a new clip the TC started from zero and so it was easy so see the progressing length of the shot on the LCD or viewfinder. However the NX3 (as it’s set) doesn't do this but just carries on counting from the previous shot. I keep studying the manual and trying all the settings but can’t work this one out. Can anyone give me the gen please? Yes – I know it’s my age! (Where are you Col?)
