DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN GET A ADAPTOR TO USE A OLD STLYE VIDEO LIGHT FROM A SONY DCR-TRV33E, ON THE NEW STYLE HOTSHOE FITTED ON THE SONY CX350VE.

MY PAL IS LOOKING FOR A SONY NEW STYLE HOTSHOE ADAPTOR - SO THAT HE CAN USE A HAIRY MIKE & VIDEO LIGHT TOGETHER.

Try B&H photo of New York and see if the Pearson Mic adapter for Sony cams will suit you. I've bought this adapter recently and it is better than the Sony model which is now out of production by Sony. This adapter allows you to use the Hot shoe facilties as well as using any other product such as a Mic and a movie light at the same time. The adapter is cheap but the shipping costs are hefty plus import duty.
