Recycle your old camera

Post by Dave Watterson »

This article refers to digital still cameras, but it might be applied to camcorders too.

If you do give away an old still camera, AV workers and movie-makers could even work with the child to put some of their better images into a sequence or simple movie.

We treasure our photographic kit and usually handle it carefully but once we have moved on to newer items, it makes sense to let the next generation learn the fun of capturing images. It could also be a way of getting a few more uses from those MiniDV cassettes that are a shade too worn for your best work.

And if it gets lost or broken ... well you had finished with it anyway.

Film making is not a matter of Life and Death
It's much more important than that.
