Super 8 Weddings

Trawling through the vast expanses of the Internet, I found someone advertising
shooting weddings on Super 8. Amazed, I read on. It turns out that you get
a film of between 10 and 30 minutes in length. The film is in reality, silent,
due to the Super 8 stock being "silent", but music is added to it after the
film is returned from processing. It is pointed out that this involves approximately
a 3 week delay to allow for the labs to do their stuff.(Risk of lost reels
in the post is not mentioned.)
The "selling" point is that you are getting a realistic vintage look like
only cine film can give. And the price for this? A cool £800! Extra, if you
require video inserts of the actual service.
It seems to me that this was the kind of film people made in the 1960s when
there was no alternative...and for free! Is this crazy of is it me? (Don`t
answer that!)
