2011 SENIOR FORUM COMPETITION RESULTS

Post by Dave Watterson »

This unusual event is held in Kromeriz, Czech Republic and is exclusively for film makers over the age of 58 !

It was founded with a strong touch of humour and retains much of that in the way it operates, but as a competition is among those much respected in our non-commercial film world.

This year 47 films were accepted for the contest and one British person got an award:
Ian Woodward won the UNICA MEDAL (for films with humanitarian message) with his film Too Many Ghosts.

A long-time IAC member from Norway, Jon Gisle won a prize that commemorates Percy Childs, a British friend who frequently visited the festival. The award is for innovation and Jon won it with The Grandmother.

Congratulations to both of them.

The top award and most of the other major prizes went to films from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

If only, Willy, if only!

Also, while we're in saluting mode, a belated congratulations for your success at this year's Tallinn International Festival.
