Native HDV and AVCHD in Prem Pro 5.5

Post by John Morgan »

Any advice please on Mixing Native HDV and AVCHD on timelines for Multi-camera edited in Premiere Pro 5.5.

Could I import both formats, and which pre-sets would work best?

I want to export to DVD.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Import all the clips into Premieres media bin, select one AVCHD clip then right click and select new sequence from clip option. This will make the sequence perfect for the AVCHD clips

You will have to play with mixing both formats on the timeline to see what works best, try the AVCHD first.

It is a compromise
