Re: adobe premiere capture device
Thanks Dave for your input. Not that I'm clever enough to act on the info. I was wondering that since the capture device is not operating with the Panasonic cam. on two Pc's I wonder id it is the camera at fault. I wonder if the firewire socket on the camera is at fault. I say this because I have tr...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Tom. I forgot to mention that the LAS PALMAS film was transferred to VHS recorder as I had no online facilities and no PC. Years later when it was possible I transferred the VHS recording to Premiere pro, made a ISO copy with Encore and then burnt a DVD with IMGburn. I notice that Widescreen centre ...

Re: 8mm film scanners
Tom. I have in fact transferred 8mm films to DVD and BD's for many years. I started by using a video cam camcorder onto a a film projected on a white screen. I then used a gadjet that allowed you to project the film via a mirror onto a fresnal screen. The camcorder was then filmed from the fresnal s...

I want a machine that converts 8mm film to an SD card by scanning the film frame by frame. They are called 8mm film scanners and there are several makes on the market. Eventually I will use the SD card in a card reader and use adobe premiere to possible edit and make a DVD or BD using encore or IMGb...

Re: film cleaner
Thank you Cathy for the info. I did try to get their website via Google but some other site appeared instead. Unfortunately collecting the cleaner is out of the question as I live in the North East of England.

Re: vimeo
TIM. Thanks for your offer but I have closed my account with Vimeo as it seemed that was the only way I could delete the Video. I'll just stick to YouTube which I have had 226,000 viewers up to now without having to pay anything. Thanks again for all your help.

Re: vimeo
TIM, Regretably I have managed to get a new password for vimeo and have tried to delete the video. No success. I've used the new password as indicated by VIMEO and again after clicking the delete button nothing happens. I'll just forget it and try to leave VIMEO. Thanks for your help.

Re: vimeo
TIM. Thanks for the info. However when I found the delete option it asked for My Vimeo password and after entering the password the delete panel was still greyed out and nothing happened. Perhaps I put in the wrong password, How can I find the correct password? Thanks
